Streets of Rage sur Megadrive vous propose de suivre l'histoire de trois jeunes agents de police aux prises avec une organisation criminelle, ménée de main de fer par un certain Mr.X. Le jeu consiste à éliminer tous vos opposants grâce à divers coups, pour progresser dans le niveau et défier le boss. Chaque combattant dispose de ses propres qualités et désavantages.
